Police Confiscate Swords, Assault Rifle, From Man Accused of Assault

“JOHNSTON, R.I. — Two saber swords, an AK-47 assault rifle and a handgun were among the weapons confiscated by police after they arrested a 36-year-old man on charges of assaulting his live-in girlfriend at 1457 Plainfield St., Sunday.

The items were seized after Sheri McGraw, 40, told police her boyfriend, Michael P. Peotrowski kicked the driver’s side of her car and repeatedly pushed her onto a couch after he found out that she had kicked in the home’s front door. Police said she sustained a lump on her head as a result of the assault.

Peotrowski was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Christopher Millea, who ordered him to report back in court on March 14 and to have no contact with McGraw.”
