Two Injured in Warwick Crash, One Driver Charged with DUI

WARWICK, R.I. — Two people were injured, one arrested, following a two-car crash on Post Road Tuesday night, the police said.

The crash — described by police as a head-on, side-swept collision — happened at 9:03 p.m. at the intersection of Post Road and Division Street, Warwick Police Lt. Michael Ford said.

Both drivers were extricated from their vehicles and taken to rhode island Hospital with “serious but not life-threatening” injuries, Ford said.

One of the drivers, identified as 23-year-old Nicholas Morin of Warwick, was charged with driving under the influence [DUI] of alcohol, first offense; driving with an expired license and refusal to submit to a chemical test.”
