West Warwick Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

“WEST WARWICK, R.I. — A 48-year-old resident was arrested Friday on charges of possession and transmission of child pornography, according to state police.

Ronald Johnson, of 8 McTeers Court, was arraigned on the charges, which also included possession of marijuana, before Associate Judge Pamela Woodcock-Pfeiffer in 6th District Court, in Providence.

Johnson’s bail was set at $10,000 personal recognizance, along with special conditions of no contact with children under 16 and no Internet use, according to state police.

The arrest was the result of an investigation by members of the state police’s Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Officers from West Warwick, Coventry, Warwick and Pawtucket police departments assisted in the arrest.”
