Rhode Island Supreme Court Result: State v. Juan Diaz

In a recent appeal from a murder conviction, Rhode Island’s highest court overturns a murder conviction because the trial court gave an unfair instruction to the jury as it related to involuntary manslaughter thereby making it difficult for the jury to distinguish the crime of involuntary manslaughter from the crime of second degree murder.
