Federal Case Result – U.S. V. Alvarez – Stolen Valor Act

The of the invalidates the that made it a crime to lie about receiving the Congressional Medal of Honor holding that the Constitution protects content-based speech even if that speech is false.  The First Amendment protects the speech we detest as well as the speech we embrace.
